The Church of St. John the Evangelist in Boxmoor was dedicated in its present form on Easter Tuesday, 1874. Today it remains a vibrant centre for Christian worship and fellowship. Our congregations include those who have been life-long members of St. John's as well as those who have recently come to faith and those who are exploring Christianity. Everyone is welcome.
St. John's is one of the three Anglican churches of Boxmoor Parish, along with St. Stephen's, Chaulden and St. Francis', Hammerfield (Glenview Road).
Every year St. John's has special services to mark the festivals of Christmas and Easter together with Mothering Sunday and Harvest Thanksgiving. Details of these are published in our monthly magazine and on the notice boards. We also have a St. John's Festival in September and a Music Festival in November.
St John's is a church in the diocese of St Albans, website: http://www.stalbans.anglican.org
